Richard Bath, Advisory Board Chair
Richard Bath has over 36 years’ experience in Higher Education Management. He was an administrator and a member of the Lasell University Faculty for 31 years where he served as Chair of the School of Fashion for 21 years.
Prior to his position at Lasell University, he served as Chairman of the Fashion Merchandising Department at Burdett College - Boston Campus. Before that, Professor Bath was a Lecturer of Business/Marketing and Organizational Behavior at Bunker Hill Community College, an adjunct Lecturer of Marketing & Economics at Mass Bay Community College and taught Global Diversity in the International Market Place at Northeastern University.
In addition, he has been integral to the Brockton Public Schools since 1988. He served on the School Committee for 4 ½ years and enjoyed every moment of his time. He particularly enjoyed the collaborations and sharing of information that went along with being a member of the Massachusetts Association of School Committees: “I think the MASC does incredible work on behalf of our school children and I would like to continue the relationship I enjoyed when I was a member.”
Professor Bath was also nominated as a Lifetime Member of the MASC. If he is granted this opportunity he said he will continue to serve the Brockton School District and the community at large. “It basically boils down to this; I love the work and I cannot image not doing this,” he said. “When the BPS has needed me, I have always answered the call because it was the right thing to do.”
